Stump removal stories of merit:
2009 |
The owner of Got Stump? notices an ad on www.kijiji.ca requesting help with a tree stump that every tree and stump grinding company turned down: a 7-foot high poplar stump, over 30 inches in diameter with a non-visible metal stake running the entire length down the centre. We gladly took the job and had the stump removed in only a few hours. |

Since it began in 2004, Got Stump? tackles the largest stump to date: the removal of a 12-foot wide willow stump in Kitscoty, Alberta (pictured below). The stump grinding took 1.5 hours to complete. |
2008 |
Over the period of a couple of days, a homeowner removes all soil around a 3 foot wide maple stump and severs all roots except one, suspending the stump in mid air. Realizing that the weight of the stump was over two hundred pounds, the homeowner calls Got Stump? to remove it. Grinding of the stump took an hour from start to cleanup. |
2007 |
A group of labourers spend nearly a week attempting to dig out a 4-foot wide maple stump. They dig a hole 3 feet down and 6 feet across, using a diesel 4x4 truck to try to pull it out. Still no luck, they call Got Stump?. In order to reach the stump, the excavation around part of the stump had to be backfilled. The stump grinding took less than an hour. |
